Florida, Sept. 10 – The municipality of Florida has made progress on nearly 60 percent of the 57 socio-economic transformations that already have the legal backing for nationwide implementation.
This was confirmed by Eduardo Andino Nodal, Director of Development for the local Administration Council. He noted that 20 of these measures have been completed, 13 are currently being designed, and the remainder are pending further definition from the central government.
During a recent meeting at the Florida government headquarters—held to update officials and People’s Power representatives on the matter—it was reiterated that the municipality remains open to any initiative or proposal regarding investment, supply chain integration, collaboration, or development projects. Such proposals must align with local priorities for implementing the socio-economic transformations approved during the first half of the year.
In this regard, Evelyn Márquez Álvarez, President of the Municipal Assembly, reaffirmed that Florida’s key interests lie in agricultural growth, the establishment of a wholesale market, the creation and strengthening of enterprises across various economic sectors, and the utilization of local products that can boost exports.
