Florida, Jan. 7 – The first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party in Florida, Liliana Boudet Nápoles, recognized the members of the White Coats Army of the territory for the favorable results in the main measurable indicator of the Maternal and Child Care Program (PAMI) at the end of last year.
Through her account on social networks, the political leader highlighted that Florida contributed with the country, effectively, in the defense of survival and quality of life for children under one year old, by ending the municipality in 2024 with an infant mortality rate of 5.1 per thousand live births.
“Congratulations to the Public Health workers who made this result possible and to those who grow every day for our people,” said the top party leader in the Floridian territory, and closed her remarks with the slogans Por Camagüey Todo and Con La Fuerza De La Unidad (For Camagüey Everything and With the Strength of Unity).
By the way, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health had already officially announced the achievement of a national infant mortality rate of 7.1 per 1,000 live births at the end of the previous calendar, an amount below that was achieved in 2023.
