Florida, Mar. 14 – In the municipality of Florida it is necessary to reinforce the administrative control over the service activities and financial operations of the Local Development Projects, in order to ensure the quality of the services provided to the people and to capture all the monetary and tax revenues of these economic actors.
According to a report by the Municipal Office of Tax Administration (ONAT), only five of the 10 Local Development Projects approved in the territory have been taxed in Florida to date, with a total contribution to the tax budget of a little more than 220 thousand pesos between December 2023 and January of this year.
In terms of workforce utilization, social security payments and taxes on retail sales profits, the most significant taxes came in these last two months from the collectives of the VAAZMAR Projects with about 48 thousand pesos and CONSFLOR with a contribution of 53 thousand 700 CUP.
In addition to evading taxes, the low monetary figures taxed to date, show the need to deepen administrative control over the activities and financial operations of these actors, approved to produce quality goods and services, and to generate monetary income to the municipal budget, with which social welfare and economic development programs are sustained.
