Ignacio Agramonte sugar mill, from Florida, advances in food production

Florida, Mar. 14 – The Agroindustrial Sugar Enterprise Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, in the municipality of Florida, maintains a steady step in the fulfillment of the indicators of production, collection and sowing of the main agricultural products demanded today by the population and the industry.

By the end of February, Agramonte’s dairy farms produced more than 13 thousand liters of milk and 16.1 tons of beef, which, in both cases, far exceeded the figures foreseen to be marketed in the period.

Positive results also reached various crops, with the planting of approximately 248 hectares of viands and grains in the cold season, with emphasis on the rice and corn planting programs, although there are still internal debts with the development of banana and cassava varieties.

According to the information provided by Julio Rodríguez Benítez, responsible for the agricultural front in Empresa Agroindustrial Azucarera Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz of Florida, the overfulfillment of the beef and milk collection plan until February is good news for that entity, but they do not forget the importance of reaching the end of the year with identical results.
