Florida, July 3 – The Territorial Planning authorities of the municipality of Florida reiterate the importance of complying with current regulations before installing awnings, lightweight structures, or any type of expansion in public or private spaces, in accordance with the provisions of national urban planning legislation.
From the Municipal Directorate of Territorial Planning and Urbanism (DMOTU), its director, Yuditza Ramos López, explained that the call for responsible construction responds to the need to preserve the urban image of the territory, avoid aesthetic damage, and guarantee the structural safety of buildings.
It is emphasized that carrying out construction without the proper authorization can result in administrative measures or sanctions. Therefore, it is insisted that every citizen or entity must first contact the institution to request the corresponding height, location, and regulatory requirements, in accordance with the current Territorial Planning and Urbanism Law.
The DMOTU in Florida continues to call on the population to act responsibly and seek timely advice, as part of the urban planning discipline strategy that seeks to maintain a more orderly, functional city that is consistent with the municipality’s territorial development plans.
