Florida, August 20 – The highest authorities in the municipality of Florida called for greater efficiency in the National Inspection of state and non-state economic actors in the territory, in order to advance respect for the law and the people in fulfilling the missions approved for them.
However, it was reported that during the last seven days, the four inspection teams organized in the region visited 99 business entities, including six at the state level.
As part of the prevention and control efforts, more than 70 violations were detected, and an equal number of fines were issued for breaches of the decrees governing productive and commercial activities, self-employment, health regulations, and fiscal and banking policies, among others.
Approximately half a million pesos were collected in Florida for this purpose, while some 140,000 pesos in cash were forced to be deposited into the bank by economic actors who repeatedly failed to meet their weekly obligation, as established in Resolution #111 of the National Bank of Cuba.
At the close of the first week of the National Visit Exercise to Economic Actors in the municipality of Florida, the meetings between the Party and the Government with these individuals and legal entities in all the People’s Councils of the territory were also highlighted.
In each exchange, the opportunity was offered to raise questions, concerns, and proposals to improve the performance of private and business projects; they received information about the new transformations underway, along with details of the actions being implemented to streamline the functioning of the economy and society in this Camagüey region.
