Agramonte producing units demand special efforts to promote sugarcane plantations

Florida, Jul 22.- The recovery of the cane planting plan in the production units of the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz Agroindustrial Company, in the municipality of Florida, demands effort from farmers, support from the industry and popular participation with a view to planting everything possible in the current stage.

Agramonte’s agro-sugar farmers barely exceeded 35 percent of what was forecast in the recent spring campaign and for this reason they must take advantage of the current weather conditions, the available machinery, the few resources at hand and the call to plant some 60 hectares of sugarcane between the months of July and September.

According to what was reported by Ariel Ángulo Gabote, sugarcane director at the Agramonte Sugar Company in Florida, the reorganization and recovery of the grass sowing is divided into five base units, especially in the Seed Bank, as seed guarantee for next year’s commitments.

The manager himself thanked the support of various sectors such as Sports, Commerce workers and others who voluntarily go to the fields of the Agramonte sugarcane system with the desire to contribute to the development of sugar plantations.
