Florida, June 3.- Boiling drinking water or treating it with sodium hypochlorite are the main sanitary actions to be carried out by the Florida population in these days of heavy rains, to avoid acute diarrheal diseases.
Other measures to be adopted in homes are linked to food preparation, where it is necessary not only to give them the necessary cooking time, but also to wash them correctly before preparing them.
The specialists in the program for these diseases at the Municipal Hygiene and Epidemiology Center report that in the presence of diarrhea or symptoms of dehydration it is recommended to go immediately to the Family Doctor’s Office for treatment.
They also point out that these conditions are under control in the territory, however, the population is recommended to continue with the established hygienic-sanitary measures, especially with the treatment of drinking water, given the possible contamination of underground sources.
