Florida educational sector develops environmental day until June 5

Sector educacional de Florida desarrolla jornada medioambiental hasta el 5 de junio

Florida, June 3.- Various activities are promoted by the Floridian Pioneer Guides, teachers and students to celebrate World Environment Day, in a day that began this June 1st and will last until Monday the 5th.

Special morning sessions, educational talks, information panels and contests are some of the proposals developed in the schools of the territory to highlight the date, raise environmental awareness and get students to identify with the problems of the ecosystem.

The day includes tasks of cleaning, beautifying and caring for gardens, patios, plots and school gardens, actions in contact with nature and talks about caring for the Environment, where the need to learn to recycle and reuse is implicit.

The educational sector of Florida designed a didactic strategy with a set of pedagogical actions and activities with an educational purpose, supported by methods, techniques and teaching and learning resources, aimed at this purpose.

Among the objectives of the system is also the development of an environmental culture and education for the prevention of disaster risks, instructing about dangers and vulnerability, desertification, drought, biodiversity conservation, as well as the protection of waters.

World Environment Day is celebrated with the purpose of raising awareness among people about the importance of preserving and protecting the environment and encouraging the participation of different age groups in initiatives carried out for its conservation.
