Assistance and Social Security benefit vulnerable groups of the Florida population

Florida, Jan 26.- The benefits of the Social Security and Assistance System for workers and retirees of the municipality of Florida remained in force during the period of 2022, despite the economic and financial limitations faced by the country at that stage.

With the incorporation of 786 people who completed their active working lives in the previous calendar, the group of retirees by age and pensioners in the territory increased to 11,500,075 beneficiaries, all with guaranteed access to monthly checkbook collection and other benefits. of the Social Security.

Similarly, the previous year, the branch of that agency of the Ministry of Labor in Florida responded to the demands for payment of maternity leave for 132 pregnant workers and mothers of infants.

It also supported the delivery of 70 percent of the salary to more than 300 working mothers dedicated to the care of minor children in a situation of temporary illness, covered by the corresponding medical certificate in favor of the infant.

With the objective of satisfying all the permanent monetary benefits and others generated in the previous period, the Social Security Office of the municipality of Florida executed a budget of more than 200 million pesos, which demonstrates the will of the State to increase and sustain its protection policy for the most vulnerable groups of Cuban society.
