Florida, Jan 7.- The folkloric group RumbaLaroye from the municipality of Florida, reached its tenth anniversary on January 6 and to celebrate it they will develop a program of activities that will last until next Tuesday the 17th.
Musical exchanges with artists from other territories, presentations at the city’s House of Culture and at the Tobacco factory, as well as talks and other activities related to Afro-Cuban traditions present in the territory, are announced for these days.
A member of the Movement of Amateur Artists, the RumbaLaroye folkloric group holds a national category and during 2022 won awards at important events, such as the most recent one obtained at the third National Cane and Sugar Festival, where they were recognized among the best large-format groups that they competed.
RumbaLaroye celebrates 10 years of existence with a program of activities that highlights and is committed to maintaining Afro-Cuban traditions, an indissoluble part of the idiosyncrasy and cultural identity of Floridians.
