Florida, Sep 17.- With detailed information on the sociodemographic situation of the municipality of Florida, the meeting began at the local government headquarters, which included specialists on the subject at the national level.
With the intention of knowing the behavior of the Demographic Policy in this Camagüey demarcation and advising the officials linked to this program, the exchange was developed in which Evelyn Márquez Álvarez, president of the local Government, presented the statistics related to said matter.
Among the main problems raised was the aging population of the territory with a marked decrease in children and young people, a fact that demonstrates the importance of implementing more effective actions to reverse such a situation.
The results of the Maternal and Child Program and the actions of entities such as Labor and Social Security, Public Health, Education, the Municipal University Center, Housing and many others, were among the topics discussed in the exchange held in Florida with specialists in Demographic Research in the National scope.
