Women’s organization in Florida organizes contest in honor of Vilma Espín Guillois

Florida, Feb. 18 – The municipal management of the Federación de Mujeres Cubanas (FMC) in Florida is calling for the Presencia y Vigencia de Vilma Espín Guillois Contest in honor of the 95th birthday of the eternal president of the country’s women’s organization, on April 7.

The contest is open to women and men over 14 years of age with works that reflect in any of the manifestations of culture and art, the values and work of the Hero in her student years or during her participation in the revolutionary struggles in the 50s of the last century.

The works will be presented in the categories of testimony, short story, music, poetry, audiovisual, plastic arts and photography, and the works must be delivered in printed format or in USB support with the name, surname, sex, age, municipality and province of residence of the contestant.

Those works whose quality, format and content merit it will be published on the Web sites of the magazines Mujeres y Muchachas, or may be part of a compilation to be published under the seal of Editorial de la Mujer.
