In June 1961 the local radio station Radio Trópico was intervened by the Independent Front of Free Broadcasting (FIEL) and renamed Radio Florida; but months later it was decided to suspend its transmissions. It was not until November 2, 1969, when the conditions for the development of the 70’s were being created, that, thanks to the drive of a group of enthusiastic radio propaganda activists who joined their efforts in the effort to build a transmitter, it was possible to put into the ether, once again, a programming carried out in the city of Florida.
