Florida, July 29 – At the close of 2025, the municipality of Florida had an effective population of 56,700 inhabitants, according to information provided by the Center for Studies of the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI).
In its report on Demographic Indicators of Cuba and its territories, corresponding to the previous year, the Center for Population and Development Studies also tells us that during that period, 292 Floridians were born here, 899 died, a total of 1,966 inhabitants of the territory left for other countries, and 536 returned.
The same source, in a summary published this July, also tells us that the urban area of Florida is currently home to 78 percent of the people born in this area, while the rural area is declining in the number of inhabitants, families, and workforce.
According to statistical data from the INEI Population Studies Center, referring to the year 2025, in this municipality there is a balance between the sexes, with only 600 more men than the total number of women in Florida.
