Florida, Jan 31.- During 2023, honey production and the recycling of copper and aluminum scrap for export grew in the municipality of Florida, an economic activity of utmost importance to promote the development of the territory and the country.

According to a report from the Municipal Administration Council, last year Floridian beekeepers collected a total of 36.4 tons of honey, a figure that represents a 13 percent growth in this exportable ruble compared to the previous stage. .

For its part, the Raw Materials Base Business Unit (UEB) group managed to recycle six tons of copper and nearly 70 tons of aluminum in the stage, for a growth from one year to the next of more than 50 percent in both rubles. .

The report from the aforementioned body shows that last year the Florida brigade belonging to the Fishing Company (EPISUR) delivered just over 100 tons of farmed shrimp for export, which represented 70 percent of the total contribution. of the Camagüeyan business entity, whose main headquarters is located in the Santa Cruz del Sur municipality.

When evaluating export activity in Florida during the past year, positive results are seen in four of the eight exportable rubles consolidated in this district, and the need to reverse non-compliance in the delivery of charcoal, the obtaining of HG Tench is reiterated. and in the recycling of bronze and stainless steel scrap, compared to the priority of earning foreign currency to promote local and national development plans based on greater social well-being
