Florida, Nov 23.- With the recognition of the most outstanding units and workers at the stage, the municipal event for the Cuban Pharmacist’s Day was held in Florida.
In the midst of the tribute to the martyr Antonio Guiteras Holmes, Cuban revolutionary and pharmacist by profession, the meeting highlighted the work of the groups of pharmacies 668 Principal and 671 Terminal, along with those located in the municipal hospital and in the rural communities of La Tomatera (to the South of the municipality) and Las Parras (to the East of the town).
The meeting, marked by the tribute of professionals and fans of Floridian culture to the workers in the pharmaceutical field in their day, also rewarded the solidarity of Solange Germán, for the results of her recently completed internationalist mission in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
Consistency and total dedication were discussed in the diplomas awarded to 11 professionals and technicians of the union with more than 35 years of experience in the production, management, dispensing and sale of medicines.
The event held in the Exhibition Hall of the Luis Casas Romero House of Culture, was accompanied by authorities and representatives of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, the General Directorate of Public Health and the sector’s union.
On November 22, Cuban Pharmacist’s Day is celebrated in honor of the birth of the martyr Antonio Guiteras, one of the first pharmaceutical professionals in Cuba.
