Florida, Nov. 18.- With a view to the celebration of Equal Opportunity Week from November 27 to December 3, the National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired in Florida is working on planning the activities to be carried out by its members during these days.
According to Emilio Sánchez Sarmiento, President of the union in the territory, in that week exchanges are planned between the different associations of the disabled as well as visits to institutions, organizations and educational centers among other activities, with the aim of being actively included in society.
As its name indicates, the event also seeks to equate and unite the members of the National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired (ANCI), the Cuban Association of Physically Limited Motorists (ACLIFIM) and the National Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ANSOC) with the rest of the local population.
During the Week, tribute will be paid to the National Hero José Martí with a floral offering by the members of the three associations of the disabled in the park that bears his name.
