Florida Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired develop grassroots assemblies

Florida, October 18.- The National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired (ANCI) in Florida held the first assembly at the grassroots level with the José Martí and Ibarra popular councils, a meeting with which the balance process began prior to the municipal appointment .

After reading the report that includes the work carried out from January to September of this calendar by the local associates, the debate began and among the most discussed topics was the permanence of architectural barriers in various establishments in the municipality, to which the residents are regulars. disabled, the sales of medicines of national origin in the informal market, in addition to the poor construction state of the ANCI headquarters.

During the meeting, the delegates to the municipal assembly were elected, for each of the popular councils present, and recognition was given to the associates Rosa Duliet and Gladis Bermúdez for being outstanding seniors in their work.

With the holding of the assembly in the popular councils of Ibarra and José Martí, the blind and visually impaired of Florida began the grassroots assembly process that will last until the end of November, prior to the municipal meeting.
