Florida women will celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the women’s organization

Florida, Aug 15.- The municipal act for the 63rd anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in Florida will take place this Saturday, August 19 at nine in the morning at the Luis Casas Romero House of Culture.

During the activity, 23 de Agosto Medals will be awarded and outstanding federation members will be recognized not only for their activism in the blocks and delegations, but also in production, services and tasks related to the defense of the Homeland.

Rita Viltres Ríos, general secretary of the women’s organization in the territory, highlighted the role of Floridian women in the execution of the Assemblies prior to the XI Congress of the FMC, scheduled to be held in September.

The Florida federated women are celebrating when they will celebrate their municipal act for the 63rd anniversary of the Federation of Cuban Women, an organization founded on August 23, 1960 by the eternal president Vilma Espín and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
