Florida, June 17.- With the collection of quantities of honey, wax and propolis above what was forecast until the end of May, the Florida beekeepers group is advancing with the objective of multiplying its contribution to the country’s income plan, by the concept of exports and support the production of medicines and derivatives for sale to the population in national currency.
This was revealed in the plenary session of this group of peasants in which, together with the productive component, the strategy to limit the effects of humidity in the hives due to the impact of the rains was analyzed and there was talk of taking advantage of the coming flowering for the benefit of the programs linked to the breeding of bees.
When intervening in the meeting, the highest representatives of the National Beekeeping Company in the province of Camagüey called to work in each hive to overcome the stress of the swarms due to the impact of the rains caused by the passage of the trough through this region of the country .
For this reason, the training action agreed upon in each meeting of Florida beekeepers was dedicated this time to reviewing and updating the coping measures and risk reduction in case of hurricanes and heavy rains, seeking to reduce errors in the will to increase the number of apiaries, sustain honey production and safeguard the lives of producers.
