Remote Work and Teleworking: Alternative Work Organizations in Florida (+Infographic)

Florida, March 2nd – Given the current situation facing the country, remote work and teleworking are becoming established as organizational alternatives within the labor system, in accordance with Resolution 71 of 2021 from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

Ivettev Ramírez, head of the Department of State Employment and Skilled Workforce, explained that the implementation of this regulation responds to the need to optimize resources, guarantee the continuity of processes, and adapt the organization of work activities to the existing conditions.

The official specified that systematic monitoring is maintained to ensure that entities correctly apply the regulations, formalize the corresponding contractual agreements, and clearly define the objectives and performance evaluation mechanisms.

Likewise, it is verified that administrations ensure the necessary technological and organizational conditions, and that the fulfillment of tasks does not affect established labor rights.

Ivette Ramírez emphasized that these approaches allow for maintaining productivity and institutional efficiency, in line with the country’s economic and social priorities.
