Abdala vaccine applied to Floridian infants

Florida, May 9 – In the municipality of Florida, the Abdala vaccine began to be applied to children who reach two years of age, according to Dr. Yailin Pérez Abreu, advisor of the Immunization Program at the Municipal Center of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology of the territory.

These children will receive a first dose of the drug, followed by the second dose after 14 days and the third dose after 28 days.

The Abdala vaccine, a product of the Cuban biotechnology industry, is a safe option for pediatric ages thanks to its toxoid-free content and proven stimulating action on the body’s antibody levels, with exponentially superior results in the infant population.

The specialist explained that the drug is included in the national vaccination scheme and is applied to the infants of the territory in the two local health areas.
