Florida, Jul 24.- Workers from the educational sector in Florida gathered at the Cielo Floridano recreation center to officially close the 2022-2023 school year.
Dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, the event fostered the recognition of the protagonists of a school period still marked by the limitations imposed by COVID-19, which exhibited superior results thanks to the performance and knowledge of the educators dedicated to the beautiful work of educating.
During the celebration, the Distinction for Cuban Education and the José Tey Medal were delivered to a group of teachers and professors for their contributions in the integral formation of students and relevant merits in educational work; In addition, nine outstanding schools were stimulated, exemplary educators with an appreciable and uninterrupted work, as well as several retirees reincorporated into the classroom.
Likewise, the best graduates of the Nicolás Guillén Batista Pedagogical School and workers in the service area were distinguished; there was a special recognition for a Central American family of educators present at the ceremony.
The art instructors of the José Martí Brigade enlivened the day with their fans, who gave all their talent to honor the men and women who exalt education in the municipality of Florida.
