Centroamerican athletes received in Florida (+ Audio and Post)

Florida, Jul 13.- Florida athletes Yarima García Díaz and Danaylis León Joseph, received this Tuesday in their homeland the warm welcome of their relatives and the recognition of the highest political, governmental and sports authorities in the municipality, for their recent participation in the Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023.

On this occasion there were two welcoming acts in front of the Rubén Martínez Villena Municipal Library, since the athletes traveled from the city of Havana in different buses.

The first to arrive on Florida soil on this day was the sprinter Yarima García, proudly carrying the Gold medal that she won as a member of the Cuban Posta champion in the short relay, with a record for the Centroamerican competition.

Approximately one hour later, Danaylis León, a member of the Cuban rhythmic gymnastics team, who ranked fifth in the team modality of this discipline at the Centroamerican Games, arrived in the municipal seat.
