State budget guarantees Social Security payments in Florida

Florida, Jun 28.- Until the month of June, more than 100 million pesos were allocated in the municipality to ensure Social Security payments, as part of the Cuban State’s policy of not leaving anyone helpless.

Even under strong economic-financial limitations imposed by the imperialist blockade and the world crises, together with internal deficiencies, the national government has maintained, to date, its support for retirement pension payments and other exceptional monetary guarantees for mothers. workers and pregnant women.

Neither the low levels of production of goods and services within the country, nor the strong and numerous measures of generalized suffocation imposed by the White House against Cuba have prevented the more than 11,600 retirees in Florida from receiving so far this year the I pay the monthly allowances, invariably and within the period established by law.

While in various countries around the world workers and senior citizens are clamoring for their social security rights or demanding in the streets respect for the payment of pensions, the municipality of Florida relies this year on a state budget of almost 260 million of pesos to safeguard these invaluable conquests of the Revolution and Socialism.
