Florida, May 2.- Territorial Defense Day took place on Saturday in the area of the Ibarra popular council, based at the José Martí elementary school.
In a theoretical exercise, a new defense plan in wartime was explained, the functions and missions to be carried out in the zones and the role of members in groups and subgroups as a guarantee of community control in the face of enemy aggression.
In addition, the combative preparation actions carried out in work centers such as the Tomás Rojas Rodríguez Packing House were explained, a group that, according to the activities planned for this day, carried out the practical exercise.
Among the activities carried out, the one carried out by students of the José Martí elementary school stands out, who demonstrated knowledge of first aid to be applied in case of physical damage to people, cardiopulmonary resuscitation actions and the different types of bandages.
Once again, the combative disposition of the residents and workers of the Ibarra popular council was evaluated on Territorial Defense Day, a space where everyone was summoned to participate this May 1st in the proletarian festival.
