Florida, Apr 22.- The annual balance of the Florida Municipal Electoral Council concluded this Thursday with congratulations and recognition to the people and to the more than 2,700 collaborators and electoral authorities participating in the different processes of the electoral schedule developed in the last 12 months, for being main architects of the unit and the growing success demonstrated at all times.
The report presented to the assembly by Mrs. Niurka Álvarez Valdivia, president of the Municipal Electoral Council, and the subsequent debate on the results, achievements and deficiencies of the work carried out in the stage also agreed on the importance of guaranteeing the cadres reserve and work with young people, maintain constant training for active personnel and volunteers at the base and always insist on defending ethics and the commitment of those who assume legal assignments as guarantors of electoral events.
Among the successes that led to the sustained increase in participation, from the popular consultation and the Family Code Referendum to the municipal and national elections, where 82.8 percent turnout was achieved, the Balance of the Municipal Electoral Council highlighted the effective organization of each of the events, the selection of personnel, the timely analysis of the different steps, the communication strategy deployed through different channels and respect for the laws.
When intervening in the debate, Marilyn Becerra Fernández, member of the Provincial Electoral Council, thanked the Floridian voters for the trust and support shown with their active, cohesive and forceful vote, and called on the electoral authorities of the territory to always work «with love” to support the results of the last year in the new goals.
