Florida, Apr 19.- During the days of April 1961, when the Cuban people faced and defeated the mercenary aggression on the sands of Playa Girón, a determining process for the future history of the country was also taking place, the bases of what then it would be the glorious Communist Party of Cuba, direct heir of the one founded by Julio Antonio Mella and Carlos Baliño in 1925.
The municipality of Florida today counts in its neighborhoods with valuable men and women who are proud to be founders of this political force and regarding the tribute of the new generations they spoke of meanings and commitments, of recommendations to the current militants and of essential tasks for the youth of today and tomorrow.
