Floridian peasants among the most prominent in Camagüey in 2022

Florida, Feb 7.- The municipality of Florida obtained the status of Outstanding in the Provincial Comprehensive Emulation of the Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in 2022, an award that was given by Rafael Santiesteban Pozo, national president of that organization, during the annual balance developed together with managers and officials of the sector in Camagüey.

The recognition is an award for the work of the peasants of the territory based on the main objectives of the most productive agrarian force in the country, including the improvement of the policy of cadres, work with young people and the march in the local food program .

In order to recognize the most outstanding, different indicators were measured, such as the delivery of self-financing and the contributions of the sector, the link of ANAP with the Federation of Cuban Women, to increase female participation in agricultural activities, together with the internal functioning and Peasant leadership in community tasks and social support.

The inclusion of Florida among the five outstanding municipalities of the province of Camagüey in the comprehensive emulation of the Cuban peasantry during the previous year, constitutes a new stepping stone on the route towards the conquest of the seat of the provincial act for May 17 in 2023 , anniversary of the enactment of the first Agrarian Reform Law.
