Florida values the actions of the Cuban Association of Physically-Motor Handicapped

Florida, Dec 24.- In a recent meeting held by the members of the Cuban Association of Physically-Motor Limited Persons (ACLIFIM) of Florida, various aspects related to the internal functioning of the organization and problems present in society, with repercussions on life of associate staff were evaluated.

The members of ACLIFIM in the territory discussed issues related to the completion of the mapping in the People’s Councils for updating files, community inclusion, the link with sectors such as housing, social work and other community factors.

In this meeting, the operation of the prevention commission and compliance with the 90-40 agreement were also analyzed, which establishes the obligatory attention of the local government to the associations that group people living with disabilities, in order to offer improvements in life to all members.

Alejandro Zúñiga Puentes, vice president of that association in the province of Camagüey, was present at the meeting, along with representatives of local organizations with close ties in the work and operation of that association that groups in Florida more than 500 people with physical and motor conditions.
