Florida beekeepers defend strategies to increase their production

Florida, Oct 11.- The beekeepers of the municipality of Florida advance in the search to increase here the production of honey, beeswax, propolis, pollen and royal jelly, as exportable items and for national consumption of high economic value and income generators. for the country and for breeders.

In this sense, the promoters and affiliates in this sphere of local agriculture defend strategies that include the use of good practices for the protection of bees, encourage the planting of honey plants near the hives, increase the number of apiaries and select and train new beekeepers.

The municipality of Florida today has almost twenty men and women incorporated into beekeeping tasks, with favorable results in the performance of their work and in the fulfillment of their production plans in various stages.

The incorporation of each one of them to the peasant cooperatives of the territory is considered a complementary strength of the attention they receive from the Camagüey Beekeeping Company.
