Florida, Oct 5.- The José Martí Pioneer Organization in the municipality of Florida joined the call throughout the country to contribute to the children and adolescents of the province of Pinar del Río who suffered material losses during the passage of Hurricane Ian.

The call to practice solidarity from an early age, with the support of the family, through donations of clothes, shoes, toiletries, toys and everything that is possible to deliver in the pioneer groups, adds to the numerous initiatives carried out in the country to contribute to those affected by the meteor in the westernmost area of ​​Cuba.

Similarly, the municipal leadership of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in Florida calls on all the federated in blocs and delegations of the territory to put together bags with available material resources to help the people of Pinar del Río affected by the passage of the strong hurricane Ian.

Rita Viltres Ríos, general secretary of the FMC in the territory, reported that the collection takes place at the organization’s headquarters and clothing, personal hygiene, or any other item they wish to donate can be delivered to help the families affected after the passage. of Hurricane Ian through that western Cuban province.
