Florida, April 24 – The highest political and government authorities in the municipality of Florida, along with representatives of the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC), called on the residents of the territory to participate in a productive work day next Sunday, April 26, in celebration of May Day.
The event, scheduled to take place at the El Oronte Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC), will be another demonstration of how Cuba is defended from any front where there are men and women willing to support and safeguard the work of the Revolution and the achievements of the labor movement in 67 years of struggle and victories against Yankee imperialism.
Planting food and other initiatives aimed at increasing the availability of goods and services remain priorities of the municipality’s Economic and Social Development Plan.
Florida authorities called for the mobilization of the working class in all sectors and the rest of the population in support of productive work next Sunday and urged people to prepare to achieve the greatest possible participation and vibrancy in the International Workers’ Day parade.
