Florida, Mar. 13 – The insufficient food production and the unfavorable results in the sugar cane and sugar derivatives industry head the list of the main problems to be solved, in the shortest possible time, in the municipality of Florida.
The list of priorities included in the agenda of the Municipal Administration Council and the rest of the administrative and social actors under its command also includes the deterioration of the housing fund and the water supply and communal services; the worsening of living conditions in the human and community settlements, and the increase of acts in violation of the socialist legality.
Faced with challenges of this magnitude, both the Communist Party and the Government authorities, at different levels, promote control tasks on the agricultural production plans for the current year, with emphasis on the planting of cassava, plantain and sweet potato, lead the defense of the collection of milk and beef, and promote the management in order to increase the supply of agricultural food in fairs, centers of social consumption and labor entities essential for the care of the people.
In this area, we seek to strengthen the role of the leadership cadres at the base, recover human resources and specialized labor, together with the attention of the labor force as a stimulus for the growth of the cattle herds, the planting of various crops and the productivity of each farm.
Even though the deficit of materials and resources through official channels is growing, the recovery of Florida’s housing fund this year is based on its own efforts, and on state programs such as the completion of some subsidies and the manufacture of topology four houses in collaboration with investment, construction and productive entities of the territory.
The most recent analysis in the plenary session of the Council of the Municipal Administration of People’s Power on the subject of the improvement of the Aqueduct and Communal services, made it clear that both entities are going through pending investments, fuels and means of work, but also through administrative efficiency and entrepreneurial concern, with the support of third parties and the participation and conscience of the people, together with the government’s supervision and demand for the execution of the referred state order.
The delegates of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in its last ordinary session demanded a different look for the rural communities and other population settlements in the outskirts of Florida, where it is necessary to reach, not only with resources, improve roads and multiply offers and services; it is also urgent to take care of the spiritual life of the inhabitants and face phenomena such as migration and uprooting, according to the opinion of the leaders of the 80 governmental districts of the territory.
The fifth place in the list of priorities for the political and administrative leadership of the municipality of Florida in the current stage is occupied by the battle against crime, corruption and illegalities, a front in which the combats of greater impact are led by the forces of the Ministry of the Interior and the state inspection, while the demand is renewed here to increase surveillance in the neighborhoods, livestock units and work centers, in addition to the popular participation in the confrontation, repudiation and denunciation of these scourges in every space where they seek to raise their heads.
