Florida, Feb. 13 – Liliana Boudet Nápoles, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Florida, described as excellent the 64th Anniversary Assembly of the José Martí Pioneer Organization (OPJM) held in the territory, a space for exchange where children and adolescents from primary, special and secondary schools expressed their concerns.
Attendance and punctuality to the classroom, the importance of study as the main duty, the need to deepen the knowledge of local and national history, and to develop rotations in the pioneer facilities of the municipality and the province were aspects discussed by the pioneers during the plenary session.
Likewise, the delegates advocated for retaking the study houses as a fundamental tool for the intellectual development of the students; they made a call to gain protagonism in the organization, particularly in the Explorers Movement in each collective and exposed the need for the existence of a municipal president to guide and organize a better performance of the OPJM.
During the 64th Anniversary Assembly of the José Martí Pioneers Organization, the delegates who will represent Florida in the provincial meeting were presented. The delegation is made up of students from primary, secondary and special schools.
