Florida, February 11 – The circular economy, import substitution and actions to raise the recycling culture were among the topics discussed at the annual balance assembly of the Base Business Unit (UEB) of Raw Materials Recovery of the municipality of Florida, a meeting marked by the analysis and accurate discussion of its main objective indicators that constitute a source of income for the country.
Last year, this collective closed with more than one hundred percent of the fulfillment of its total sales plan and over-fulfilled with the export of non-ferrous groups.
During the Balance, the management of the Raw Materials UEB signed work agreements with representatives of the Federation of Cuban Women, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and the Union of Young Communists, organizations that support and contribute to recycling from the neighborhoods and schools of the territory.
Alfonso Peña Espinosa, director of this entity, acknowledged the participation of the families in the Reciclo mi Barrio Project, for the contribution of 24 tons of reusable waste in different industrial processes.
During the annual balance assembly, the workers of the Base Business Unit for the Recovery of Raw Materials in the municipality of Florida, committed themselves to increase the actions to raise the recycling culture in the population to materialize the aspiration of reaching higher balances in the current calendar, in accordance with the demands of the internal and external market.
