Compliance with Florida exporting plan in danger

Florida, Nov. 20 – The collection of bee honey and the recovery of aluminum and copper scrap for raw materials are at the forefront among the activities for export in Florida during the current year, in which up to the end of October only three of the nine exportable items of the municipality have been consolidated.

According to a report from the Municipal Administration, the most outstanding results at this stage are shown by the Raw Materials Unit’s collective in the territory, with the collection of about 68 tons of aluminum scrap and about 16 tons of copper, for an overcompliance in both plans of more than 139 percent.

For their part, Floridian beekeepers have accumulated to date 18 tons of honey, with the contribution in the month of October of some three tons above the amount foreseen in their plan, although in comparison with the same period of the previous year, this item is decreasing, also affected by the marked fuel deficit suffered by the country.

According to the most recent governmental control of the export activity in Florida, it is estimated that the plans for the production of charcoal, Tenca HG and the recovery of bronze and stainless steel scrap will not be fulfilled this year either, and the current status of the export of shrimp caught in the waters of the southern coast of the municipality is unknown.
