Florida, Nov. 20 – The process of banking of the Cuban economy and society must reach with greater clarity the agricultural system in the municipality of Florida, and for that purpose it is demanded to increase here information and training actions on the operation, advantages and security of collection, payment and electronic commerce.
This was defined by the highest authorities of the Party and the provincial government of Camagüey as part of the recent meeting with agricultural managers and producers of the territory, where the lack of knowledge among farmers of the possibilities and alternatives offered by the banking system, over obstacles and crowds at the ATMs of the Bank of Credit and Commerce (BANDEC), became evident.
According to what was analyzed in the meeting, this measure looks for reducing the use of cash in the payment of salaries and services, and in commercial transactions of all kinds, and also contemplates licenses for direct access to physical cash figures for the agricultural sphere, which must be ordered by agreement between the Bank and the Municipal Administration Council.
The possible implementation of the Cajas Extra for access to cash in the numerous agricultural and livestock sales outlets covered by the Florida farmers’ cooperatives was mentioned as an example of how much more can be done in this area in favor of the advancement of banking within the municipality and in local agriculture.
