Florida, Nov. 11 – The workers of the Unidad Empresarial de Base Farmacias y Ópticas of the municipalities of Florida and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes are getting ready to celebrate their day on November 22, in a day of tribute to the effort and humanism of those who work in this sector.
Mayelin Suárez Loyola, director of this force, emphasized that the stage they are closing demanded dedication and responsibility from their collectives due to the growing deficit of medicines and raw materials to elaborate natural and traditional medicines here.
Suárez Loyola added that these shortages forced them to look for sales alternatives in each of the communities and Popular Councils where they are present, as well as in the production of drugs in the green medicine laboratory. The main director of the Unidad Empresarial de Base Farmacias y Óptica of the municipalities of Florida and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes also assured that the celebration of the workers’ day in this field will be a new moment of commitment with the people and with the example of the martyr Antonio Guiteras Holmes, historical symbol of the Cuban pharmaceutical sector.
