Florida, Oct. 16.- The municipal ceremony for the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the José Martí Brigade took place at the Luis Casas Romero Cultural Center in the city of Florida, a space in which a group of art instructors received encouragement for their uninterrupted work for 20 years.
During the celebration, Julio Toledo Pérez, who recently returned from fulfilling an international mission, received special recognition; the list of honorees also included Aramís Bolufé Santana, Lissette Peláez Castillo, Sirley Prieto Pérez, Arasay Hernández Jones, Carlos Cervantes Calá and Iván Carbonell Guerra; and along with them Arturo Nazco Labrada, Mabis Casal Pereira and Leosdani Dupuy, all with notable results from their training work.
As part of the activities planned to commemorate the anniversary, the 55th Anniversary Cultural Guerrilla, made up of art instructors from the José Martí Brigade of the municipality of Florida, came to the Rolando Valdivia popular council to delight adults and children with their performances.Likewise, Florida schools hold special morning events with multiple cultural proposals, all dedicated to highlighting the importance of art and culture in the territory
