New President of the Municipal Electoral Council elected in Florida

Daynelis Fernández Hernández como Presidenta del Consejo Electoral en Florida

Florida, Oct. 1 – The delegates of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Florida elected Daynelis Fernández Hernández as the new President of the Electoral Council in Florida.

With 98.4 % of the votes in favor, this 37 year-old woman, who was the Secretary of the Florida Assembly of Government during the current term of office, was elected as the new highest electoral authority of the municipality.

Also during the fifteenth ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, the Floridian delegates approved the proposal of substitution due to health problems of Mirelis Rodríguez Lezcano, who served as Vice intendant of the local Administration Council for Social and Legal Objectives and Tasks.

In her place was validated the appointment of Carlos Pérez Estrada, who previously held the position of Vice Mayor of Infrastructure, Patrimony and Construction; whose programs and objectives will now be led by José Ismael Mejías Quiñones, as the new official of the Municipal Administration Council.
