Florida, Aug. 28 – The personal safety and care for the quality of life of pregnant women who remain in the Amparo Carriera Montes Maternity Home in the municipality of Florida is not only the responsibility of the institution and the Public Health system, it is also the responsibility of the families to ensure compliance with the medical guidelines and discipline of each one of them.
This call to conscience is directed, above all, to the parents, guardians or husbands of the adolescents and other pregnant women with criteria for admission to the Florida Maternity Hospital, many of whom resist their stay in the place and assume imprudent behaviors such as escaping from this unit, intended to monitor and prevent the risks of pregnancy.
Both the Government and the authorities of the Maternal and Infant Care Program (PAMI) of the municipality and of the country are making extraordinary efforts to guarantee food, medical assistance and all possible comfort during the stay in this institution, in cases of imminent threat to the survival of the future mothers or the unborn child.
Consequently, the collaborative attitude of the families and the self-responsibility of the pregnant women themselves must increasingly become signs of respect for the integral care received in the Maternity Home of the territory, a conquest of the Revolution that is defended with dignity, under serious limitations but with the highest priority.
