Florida, Jul. 15 – Manuel Piti Fajardo Rivero municipal hospital, in the municipality of Florida, reorganized its work strategy in view of the increase in cases of non-specific febrile syndrome and the presence of dengue fever in the current stage.
As part of the daily effort to maintain the attention to the people, the medical, nursing and support staff is multiplied with the purpose of providing an efficient service, making the most of the resources and income capacities.
According to statements made by Dr. Alberto Abascal Santana, director of the Floridian hospital, in the current situation the institution is reinforcing the protocols approved for the epidemiological response, in a sequence that goes from the clinical evaluation of the symptomatic febrile patient to his or her hospitalization in life-threatening situations.
The executive emphasized that there are prioritized services such as intensive care, highlighted the increase in the number of hospital beds in order to maintain specialized assistance to patients affected by dengue and other recurrent arbovirosis in the current period, and reiterated the importance of people with symptoms going to the doctor for timely evaluation.
