Call to increase demands to eliminate indiscipline in Floridian agriculture

Florida, 5 Jul.- «Change methods and work styles, increase demands and daily actions against indiscipline in agriculture, with the Law on the table», was the demand made by Ormandys Rodríguez Sánchez, mayor of the municipality of Florida, during the most recent analysis of the fulfillment of the productive indicators of the sector.

In the exchange with presidents of cooperatives and directors of agro-sugar entities and companies linked to the food industry, the causes of the current non-compliances in the delivery of beef and bovine milk by the agrarian base, the insufficiencies in the contracting of small cattle and the lack of drive in other orders of the local agricultural area were evaluated.

«The most difficult thing is not to explain these shortcomings to the Party and the Government of the province», said the Mayor, and he assured that «the most embarrassing thing is to tell the Floridian population that many of the intermediate and grassroots management structures are not capable of controlling the productions and their destinies in the cooperatives and entities under their command in the current situation».

Consequently, the highest representative of the Directing Board of the Florida Administration Council oriented to internally review the work mechanisms of the Agroindustrial Agricultural Company and the Delegation of Agriculture to confront the non-compliant, apply what is established in the laws and raise awareness of food production, always thinking of the needs of the people.
