Florida’s educational sector activities program for the summer season

Florida, Jul. 2 – The program of activities that the General Directorate of Education in Florida has designed for the summer months includes the activities that will be developed by the school librarians in the educational institutions and the Pedagogical Documentation and Information Center (CDIP).

Summer readings, book presentations, discussions, literary peñas and contests are included in the program, with meetings to learn more about the works of poets Raúl Gómez García, Nicolás Guillén Batista and Carilda Oliver Labra, and the prose of other Cuban and foreign writers.

The exhibition of films with literary versions and exhibitions of works of children’s and young people’s literature preferred by local students are other options planned for the summer months.

The CDIP Municipal will hold a summer course on Communication and Social Networks, scheduled to begin on July 20, with the attendance of communicators from the educational system, cultural institutions and other entities of the territory.

Children’s Day, the 71st anniversary of the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, as well as the birthday of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, are the highlights of the program of actions that the educational sector of Florida will develop during the summer.
