Florida, June 27 – The members of the Cuban Association of People with Physical-Motor Disabilities (ACLIFIM) of the municipality of Florida obtained the Outstanding status in the Provincial Assembly prior to the VII Congress of that force.
During the event, the Floridian writer Elena María Obregón Navarro and comrade Orlando Abrante Nápoles, president of the association in the territory, were selected to represent Florida in the National Congress to be held next October in the Cuban capital.
Among the topics of interest discussed at the ACLIFIM provincial conference were the functioning of the municipal and provincial commissions that follow up and monitor the rights of persons with disabilities, the work with young people in the policy of cadres and the situation in the orthopedic shoe and prosthesis repair workshop, among others.
