Municipal Health Group active in Florida due to cases of the Oropouche virus (+Audio)

Florida, June 6 – ProSalud specialists, together with the vector workers of the municipality of Florida, develop several preventive actions with the residents of Prolongación de Martí street, place where the cases of patients with the Oropouche Virus were detected.

Family and group dynamics, educational talks and the delivery of pamphlets on the clinical symptoms and the conduct to be followed in case of new outbreaks of the virus, in addition to the focal treatment for the elimination of the mosquito and the jején are included among the actions carried out by the professionals.

Luis Manuel Lastres Mendoza, chief advisor of the Arbovirosis Program of the General Directorate of Public Health in the territory, in an interview granted to journalist Pedro Pablo Sáez Herrera, gave details on the specific situation in Florida in view of the detection of the two imported cases of the Oropouche virus.
