Florida, May 27 – Several Florida educational institutions were recognized in a ceremony for the results of the My School Educates Movement, held at the Mártires de Florida children’s take care center, presided over by Deputy Superintendent Alexis Fenelo, Heriberto Pérez Bernardo, political coordinator of the Party in the territory, and Yunior Vega Rivero, general director of Education.
The elementary schools Renato Guitart, Camilo Cienfuegos, Francisco Gómez Toro, Sierra Maestra, José Antonio Echeverría and Abel Santamaría Cuadrado; the special José Luis Tassende las Muñecas, the Oficios, and the children’s take care centers Trencito de la alegría, Mártires de Florida and Semillitas del Futuro were recognized at the ceremony.
Likewise, the Hogar de Menores sin Amparo Familiar, the República Bolivariana de Venezuela urban pre-university and the Wabay scout center were awarded the Mi Escuela Educa status, a category that endorses the results of the movement that involves families, community groups, workers and educators in the effort to transform the schools in the culture of detail and leave them ready for the next school year.
Attendance and punctuality, the correct use of the uniform, restoration work, repair of school furniture, classrooms and premises, as well as the care and beautification of outdoor areas are some of the requirements that each educational institution must meet to obtain the My School Educates status.
Other schools in the territory will receive the recognition before the end of the current school year, according to Yunior Vega Rivero, Director of Education in Florida.
