Florida, May 15 – The ApiFlor Collective Exhibition, dedicated to World Bee Day, was inaugurated this Monday at the Art Gallery of the municipality of Florida, with the presence of producers, managers and pioneers participating in contests related to beekeeping in the territory.
The exhibition, open to the public until May 20, is made up of working tools used in the production of honey, wax and other beehive products, together with more than a dozen drawings that participated or won in the recent contest organized by the Empresa Apícola Nacional to highlight the environmental and economic importance of the bee and the performance of beekeepers.
In welcoming those present at the inaugural activity, Miroslava Pacheco Martínez, who was in charge of the curatorship and design of the visual installation, thanked the children, farmers, teachers and officials who made this dream come true.
Omelio Barba Machado, director of the Camagüey Beekeeping Business Unit, the exhibition’s sponsor, was in charge of cutting the ribbon to access the exhibition site, supported by the Culture Department, the Municipal Administration Council and its Department of Foreign Trade and Investment.
